This week has been full of energy and excitement for those who long to see new church startups in town. This past Thurs, the San Diego Church Planting Movement (SDCPM) hosted lunches across San Diego County in an effort to provide encouragement and support for pastors in this unique calling in this particular moment. Here are a few photos from the day.

As Flourish San Diego, we are thankful for the opportunity to partner with these good leaders. Our programming, particularly our pastoral cohorts are a blessing to new church leaders by providing friendships conducive to spiritual formation and peer-coaching. Church planting movements have been very active in evaluating and preparing people to start new churches. As Flourish San Diego, we see a great need to foster continued personal and professional growth opportunities after starting new churches.

I (Geoff) along with Flourish Board Member, Martin Cachero had a chance to travel to Chicago with other leaders of the San Diego Church Planting Movement. We were there to strengthen our understanding and partnership with New Thing, which is an organization that helps catalyze church planting movements around the world.

There are good people doing good work. Pray with us for these pastors and the churches they lead.
