A Great Challenge for the Church
The dynamic, life-giving work and message of Jesus has been obscured from people who seek to find meaning and purpose in life. The call to follow a Person has been reduced to a call to obey deadening legalisms. Which proves incapable of producing the kind of people we both desire to be and were created to be. This has resulted in further marginalization of the church, challenging our intention to be a redemptive presence in our city and world.
A Great Opportunity for the Church
As apprentices of Jesus, we help people and churches become who they were created to be. In doing so, we join God to help our city and world flourish and become all that it can be.

Who We Are
Meet Our Team
Geoff Hsu
Executive Director
Geoff is the co-founder and Executive Director of Flourish San Diego. His core giftedness hovers around his shepherd’s heart and his orientation as a reflective practitioner. In using these gifts, much of Geoff’s work is focused on the gospel, its embodied proclamation, its transformative impact in the lives of Christians, and its subsequent renewing, redeeming and restorative influence on the world at large. Geoff worked for Cru for over 20 years, working in many capacities and all over the world, including in Asia. His work while on staff with Novo focused on renewing cities. He has an MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a DMin from Bakke Graduate University in Transformational Leadership for the Global City.
Martin Cachero
Strategic Initiatives Director
Martin brings strength in building mission-centered communities and leading organizational development. He is passionate about helping people and organizations steward their lives and work in ways that cultivate generative impact and culture. He currently serves bi-vocationally as co-pastor at Risen Church and as Director of Strategic Initiatives with Flourish San Diego, where he focuses on recruitment, fundraising, and organizational effectiveness. He holds a B.A. from California State University San Marcos and a Master of Theological Studies from Bethel Seminary.
